Elegia Underwood | 3:00PM SLT July 3rd and 10th | Main Stage |
July at 3pm, she will be reading selections from Walden by Henry David Thoreau for 'Operation Squeegee' and she promises to think of something appropriate for the 10 July 3pm as well! -- Elegia Underwood wears many hats in Second Life. Her Monday afternoon session called Open Mic Meanderings is popular with poets and lovers of poetry from around the grid. She is slowly assembling, letter by letter, word by word, sentence by sentence, a collection of tales about Dragons which she calls "The Rising and the Falling". As an actor with Avatar Repertory Theater, a ground-breaking company in SL, she recently completed a sold-out run as one of the two Alices in "Alice in WonderSLand". And she builds things and sells them, with, as she says, "varying success". But she is most widely know as a storyteller. You can hear her read every Wednesday afternoon in the luxurious lobby of her Dragonlands Hotel in Steelhead Shanghai. If you want to know more about what she's up to, please join her group '1001 Tuesdays' or, if like her you have to jettison a group to join another, just watch any of the various book and story-oriented groups for notices.
